Overview
The hotel is situated in the heart of the city within a few minutes walk from the primary business, financial, cultural and commercial centres, and the famous shopping street Váci utca. Due to its perfect location, the hotel offers a first class moderate accommodation and services for tourists and business travellers alike. The history of the hotel dates back more than one hundred years. Hotel Erzsébet was opened in 1873, the year when Budapest, Hungary´s capital was created by the union of three small villages: Pest, Buda and Óbuda (Old Buda). The original building was rebuilt in the early 1980s and the modern three-star Hotel Erzsébet was opened in the summer of 1985. Since then the hotel has been renovated several times, and today Hotel Erzsébet preserves its excellent traditions from the more than 100-year-old past.
